Math equations are not necessarily problems. They present relationships; solutions are not always required.
y = 3 * x + 2
That is a math equation. It doesn’t need to be solved.
y = 3 * x – 4 * z + 8 * w
That is a math relationship. It doesn’t need to be graphed, and doesn’t necessarily imply anything.
